“The NHRA Texas Fall Nationals definitely got off to a dramatic start this weekend. We lost our first day of qualifying due to rain, so it was down to just two chances today to get this Patron hot rod into the Sunday show. On our first pass, the car ran really well but unfortunately, I missed the tree and left too soon so we didn’t get a time. Thankfully, we were able to make it up second round with that 4.166. At the conclusion of qualifying, we finished up in the No. 11 spot and face Jack Beckman in round one tomorrow. It’s kind of funny that we’re going up against each other, because we’re the two drivers being ‘auctioned off’ at the DRAW [Drag Racing Association of Women] charity fundraiser tonight. I’m looking forward to racing tomorrow and going rounds.”
