Team Kalitta Dallas Qualifying Report; Kalitta Leads Team Kalitta in to Sunday’s Eliminations at Texas Motorplex

Only two qualifying sessions were completed due to weather

Q2: 3.825 sec. at 318.39 mph (Three bonus points for quickest of the session)

David Grubnic – Driver of the Candlewood Suites Top Fuel Dragster
Q1: 3.895 sec. at 300.40 mph
Q2: 3.848 sec. at 320.43 mph

Qualifies: No. 7

Alexis DeJoria – Driver of the Tequila Patron Toyota Camry Funny Car
Q1: No time; Left before tree was activated
Q2: 4.166 sec. at 303.50 mph

Qualifies: No. 11

Del Worsham – Driver of the DHL Toyota Camry Funny Car
Q1: 5.183 sec. at 195.85 mph

Connie serves as head tuner for all Team Kalitta entries. He is assisted by co-crew chiefs Jon Oberhofer and Nick Boninfante on the DHL Toyota Camry Funny Car, by Tommy DeLago and Glen Huszar on the Tequila Patrón Toyota Camry Funny Car,  and by Jim Oberhofer on the Mac Tools Top Fuel dragster. Connie serves as crew chief on the Optima Batteries Top Fuel dragster.
