Del Worsham, driver of the DHL Toyota Camry Funny Car, qualified No. 1 for Sunday’s eliminations at Bristol Dragway with a multiple track record-setting run, 3.992 seconds (track record for elapsed time and a career best for Worsham) at 319.45 mph (track record for speed). Worsham’s start from the top spot is his second No. 1 of the season (Houston) and the 15th No. 1 of his career. Worsham has now been No. 1 qualifier in Bristol for two consecutive seasons as he was No. 1 in 2013 as well.
