Quotables:
Doug Kalitta, driver of the Mac Tools Top Fuel Dragster: “Really proud of my entire Mac Tools team. Jim (Oberhofer, crew chief) and Troy (Fasching, assistant crew chief) had a solid tune-up. The Mac Tools car was clean and ran a great number. It is a great momentum builder, so I am happy it stayed at the top.”
J.R. Todd, driver of the SealMaster Top Fuel Dragster: “A little fire tonight, but the SealMaster guys will get it fixed for tomorrow. Definitely wanted to stick in the top half of the field, and we have a tough first round match-up in different conditions. However, I am confident in my team and know we will be ready to go tomorrow.”
Del Worsham, driver of the DHL Toyota Camry Funny Car: “We have had a great DHL Toyota Camry all weekend. The conditions are different tomorrow than any that we have qualified in all weekend, but we have had a great warm weather set-up throughout the season so I know we will be ready to go come the first session.”
