Langdon Goes Pink Again with Global Electronic Technology Funny Car

Ypsilanti, MI (October 8, 2019) – For the second season in a row Global Electronic Technology owners Steve and Samantha Bryson have turned the Toyota Camry driven by Shawn Langdon into the pinkest  “Fastest Name in Credit Card Processing” Funny Car on the NHRA Mello Yello Series. For the month of October Langdon’s Global Electronic Technology Toyota Camry will race with the pink livery during the NTK Carolina NHRA Nationals in Charlotte and the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals in Dallas, two of the highest profile NHRA Countdown national events.

“We wanted to continue to draw attention to breast cancer awareness as well as all forms of cancer treatment. Many teams throughout professional sports highlight their support of cancer treatment and awareness but we don’t think anyone does it as fast as Shawn and the Global Electronic Technology Camry Funny Car,” said Steve and Samantha Bryson of Global Electronic Technology.

For Funny Car driver Shawn Langdon cancer prevention and treatment has hit close to home. Earlier this year his father Chad underwent successful live transplant surgery after a cancer diagnosis in 2018. Langdon’s father has faced a long road of recovery but has made remarkable progress and is almost fully recovered.

“When you hear the word cancer it just breaks your spirit. I would like to be a part of turning that reaction around,” said Langdon. “My dad was really lucky and got a liver transplant just in time earlier this season. October is known as breast cancer awareness month but I think it is also important to talk about all forms of cancer treatment and awareness throughout the year. I have to thank Steve and Samantha Bryson for all their support of my family over the past two years. I think this pink Global Electronic Technology Funny Car looks amazing and I want to park it in the winner’s circle in Charlotte and Dallas.”
