YPSILANTI, Mich., (May 05, 2015) Kalitta Motorsports is excited to welcome MAD Creative Concepts to the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing series as a sponsor. MAD, celebrating their tenth year of excellent work in the custom graphics and design fields, will take their logo to new speeds as the primary partner on J.R. Todd’s Top Fuel Dragster for the Route 66 NHRA Nationals in Chicago this July.
Based not far from Kalitta Motorsports headquarters in Ypsilanti, Mich., MAD Creative Concepts, named for president and CEO Michael Drozdowski, was founded in January 2005. MAD has partnered with Kalitta Motorsports for several seasons making Team Kalitta look sharp at the race track with their custom graphics and signage, vehicle, dragster and hauler decal wrapping and marketing materials.
“Having worked with Kalitta Motorsports for several seasons, MAD Creative Concepts is thrilled to be able to expand the partnership,” said Drozdowski. “We are excited to utilize this placement to meet the fans in the Chicago market and show what MAD Creative Concepts can do for them.”
Todd, coming off a runner-up finish in the 2014 NHRA Top Fuel Dragster point standings, has earned a class-best five no. 1 qualifiers in the past twelve events. Last season, in his first race in Chicago since 2009, Todd earned a semi-final finish.
“It is always neat to be the first driver to run a sponsor’s logo at the race track,” said Todd, driver of the MAD Creative Concepts Top Fuel Dragster. “Even better, I am already familiar with MAD’s work and I have experienced the quality of it. I have seen some of the concepts behind the wrap, and I am sure it will be a fan favorite.”
Fans will have the opportunity to be a part of MAD Creative Concepts’s first foray into motorsports sponsorship. Two crew shirt designs have been submitted and MAD Creative Concepts wants the fans to decide the final design. There are two ways to vote: vote on the poll at www.teamkalitta.com/contest and go to MAD Creative Concepts’ Facebook page www.facebook.com/MADCreativeConcepts and share the picture of your favorite design. One fan that votes and enters their email on the poll will win an inaugural MAD Creative Concepts crew shirt. Voting begins today, May 5th, and ends Tuesday, May 26th.
