NORWALK, OH (June 26, 2021) — Today Kalitta Motorsports hosted Chase Kulik, a 15-year old who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis as a guest of A Kid Again, a national nonprofit organization fostering hope, happiness and healing for children facing life-threatening conditions and their families. Chase and his family enjoyed a day at the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals that included a pit tour, driver meet and greet and the opportunity to stand on the starting line during the junior dragster exhibition runs prior to the final pro qualifying session.
”Having Chase and his family enjoy a day at the races with Kalitta Motorsports exemplifies what we’re all about at A Kid Again,” said Oyauma Garrison, President and CEO of A Kid Again. “I’m so excited Chase and his family got to enjoy a day at the races today.”
In addition to Chase enjoying a day at the races with Kalitta Motorsports, Keegan Beverly, a local junior dragster racer, also participated in the junior dragster exhibition and was recognized as an honorary crew member of Kalitta Motorsports this weekend. Earlier this year Keegan saw the announcement about the partnership with A Kid Again and wanted to get involved on his own. He redesigned his junior dragster to support A Kid Again and Kalitta Motorsports was thrilled to celebrate a great kid.
“Today was about Chase and Keegan, two amazing kids,” said Chad Head, Kalitta Motorsports General Manager. “We have enjoyed sharing the NHRA experience with A Kid Again families and we especially wanted to thank Keegan for stepping up to help us promote this great non-profit.”
Keegan was able to make a run in his A Kid Again junior dragster before the final qualifying session in front of a pack grandstand at Summit Motorsports Park. Chase and his family were on the starting line and when he was asked by NHRA announcer Joe Castello to describe the day he summed it up perfectly.
“It was amazing!” exclaimed the young Kulik, as the crowd roared in approval.
