We qualified here in Norwalk, which is great. Last year we didn’t to race on Sunday, so I’m just happy to be in the show tomorrow.  We’re qualified thirteenth and face Johnny Gray first round.

Tommy DeLago, Crew Chief
Obviously like every week when we’re not number one qualifier, it wasn’t the weekend we wanted to have. We’re only on the fifth run on a new engine combo, and we’re still learning, but I see a lot more promise that what I saw before. We just have to learn what to do in various conditions. The conditions here are pretty much on both ends of the spectrum. During the night run on Friday, the track was incredible. We were on a pretty good pass on that run and were third fastest mph at half-track. Then today, the track deteriorated pretty quickly when it got hot out and it was really hard to adapt. In the fourth round we didn’t make the run we wanted but it was still the fifth quickest run of the session and it made it down the track. We were one of just a few cars to make it down the track in that round actually. If we can make it down tomorrow, we have a shot at winning.
