What inspired you to start racing?
I grew up in the garage helping my dad work on his Funny Car team. I loved Funny cars since I was 5 years old.

How long have you been racing professionally?
I started racing professionally in 1986 working on my dad's Nitro Funny Car.

What is your favorite racing memory?
My favorite racing memory has changed over the years because I have a lot of favorite memories. But my most recent would be winning the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Funny Car Championship with Driver Del Worsham and the DHL Toyota Camry.

What is your favorite racetrack?
Pomona, because it's in Southern California where drag racing originated, and also because we race there the first and last race of the season.

Any fun facts we should know about you?
I like riding old Steam Engines at Railroads all over the USA with my son Blake and wife Sara.  And my favorite one is the Durango and Silverton Railroad in Colorado.

What inspired you to start racing?
Just growing up around it. My dad raced after high school and had a car when I was a young kid, so growing up around it made me want to do this.

What is your favorite racing memory?
There's too many to pick just one.. I mean winning a Championship with a guy like Del (Worsham) is really cool.. Winning Indy with a first year driver (J.R. Todd) was also amazing, and then getting a license myself and setting a new NHRA speed record and going to the final round in a Nostalgia Funny Car is way up there also, and going 300 mph on my first pass in a nitro Funny Car was pretty wild too.

Sonoma

I have my Nostalgia Funny Car license, my quickest pass is now a Nostalgia Funny Car Record!
